Development of improved metallic materials for working at condition of combined thermal and mechanical loading on the basis of energy dissipation in heterogeneous structure approach

This presentation is devoted to development of improved sintered tungsten carbide hard alloys and alloyed steels for producing of rolls for rolling mills. It includes the results of development of theoretical approach to evaluate the influence of macro- and microstructure heterogeneity on process of external energy dissipation ; modernization of techniques of quantitative evaluation of macro- and microstructure heterogeneity, development of techniques of microstructure heterogeneity measurement in conditions of productive process, results of investigations of wearing and damaging process features for hard alloy rolls that are working in different conditions and modification of their composition and structure on the basis of this information.
